Green Chemistry + Health
This track will focus on how designers, manufacturers, and architects are leveraging transparency tools and green chemistry innovation to drive industry wide transformation in healthy materials. It will analyze the barriers to achieving the LBC Materials Petal and offer concrete solutions from pioneering projects teams while identifying opportunities for manufacturing innovation. We will analyze a growing movement towards transparency and toxic chemical avoidance that is remaking the design and selection of materials.

Biomimicry + Biophilic Design
What can 3.8 billion years of evolution teach us about manufacturing and design? It is increasingly clear that we cannot sustain our modern high energy and toxic “heat, beat, and treat” production methods. Instead, shouldn’t we be studying how nature makes things? Biomimicry and Biophillia are powerful strategies transforming how we design products and buildings, and innovative practitioners are using these tools to reshape industries in order to align with natural systems. This track will explore case studies of Biomimicry in practice while delving into the philosophy and practice of Biophillic design.

Net Positive Products + Enterprise
An opportunity for designers, manufacturers, and sustainability professionals to showcase inspiring examples of companies and others who are blazing the wide open trail of product and enterprise Net Positive Sustainability.  We will learn what inspired these pioneers, what they are learning, and what are the obstacles, enablers, costs and rewards of taking the ultimate sustainability challenge: to produce products and run organizations which give more than they take in relation to both people and planet.

Social Equity + Supply Chains
This track will focus on the growing emphasis to improve transparency in products, business, and human resource management practices. It will showcase leading companies that are revolutionizing equitable access to important human needs and those companies re-inventing supply chains to improve human health and safety. Further, this track will explore innovative affordable housing developers and non-profit organization that are ensuring a healthy materials economy works for all economic classes.
